The renovation of the roof at Hotel Ribera de Triana in Seville incorporates an innovative photovoltaic skylight developed with crystalline silicon glass supplied by Onyx Solar. This state-of-the-art technological solution achieves a 31% natural light transmission rate, transforming the 230 m² surface into a contemporary, bright, and energy-efficient space.
The photovoltaic panels have been laminated with EVALAM UC, a technology specifically designed for architectural applications that guarantees high durability, safety, and optical stability, ensuring excellent system performance under demanding exposure and usage conditions.
In addition to providing the hotel with a renewed architectural image, the installation generates a total nominal power output of 31.05 kWp, contributing to the building’s energy supply and reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
The system incorporates insulated glass units with air chambers, significantly improving the thermal insulation of the roof and reducing the energy demand for climate control. The result is a more comfortable, efficient environment aligned with current sustainable construction standards.
Developed in collaboration with Gómez Rodríguez Arquitectos and Sindetec, this project positions Hotel Ribera de Triana as a benchmark in the integration of architectural photovoltaic solutions, combining design, functionality, and energy efficiency within a single space.
